Born and raised in Morgan County, Mark Mizell is a lifelong resident of North Alabama and has called Hartselle home for 35 years.

Mark graduated from Hartselle High School in 1995 and received a degree in Business from Athens State University in 2000. He has been employed by Ascend Performance Materials (formerly Monsanto) for over 20 years.

Mark served on the Hartselle City Council from 2004-2012 during which he spent time working with commercial developers on many building projects, including Lowe's and the Morgan County Industrial Park.

Mark and his wife Suzanne have been married for 20 years and have two children, Eason and Coleman.
